The future of NFT’s is social

Hello world! Soon, we will be launching Supernovas — a social NFT marketplace. Prior to going public, we wanted to exclusively reveal to you our vision, why we believe in it, and why you should, too.

The problem

In early 2021, the NFT market saw an unprecedented level of growth. Undoubtedly, part of this growth can be attributed to viral FOMO, but the real reason for the growth (and the exact reason why NFT’s are here to stay forever) is the discovery of what true digital ownership is for creators.

Typically, when an artist posts a piece of their work on a platform, they are giving that platform ownership. Thus, that platform can distribute and monetize that content however they see fit. Digital creators never truly own the content that they make.

Along with the sharp increase in NFT popularity, the market also inevitably saw a steep hike in gas fees. Despite the incredibly high costs to mint and trade individual NFT’s, the market persisted. More and more hopeful NFT artists joined NFT marketplaces and minted their work, but consistently ran into the same problem — distribution. Despite spending massive amounts of money just to mint a single piece of content, many artists weren’t selling their work as it was not being seen.

Enter Supernovas

Supernovas flips the script on platform-driven monetization, and inverts the ownership model of digital content by giving true ownership of digital files to creators. In addition, we want to provide creators to own and benefit from your brand as a creator with Creator Coins. To do so, we will be running our own node on decentralized protocol, BitClout, as a base-layer technology.

Supernovas will unlock the future potential of NFT’s with

• Decentralized social media focused around NFT’s, where discovery and distribution are baked into the experience
• Creating a completely new way to monetize and invest in both content and creator
• Almost entirely removing gas and marketplace fees, making NFT’s accessible to all and giving creators what they deserve
• Thorough verification of creators, and creating a community of trust. We don’t tolerate any infringement on the intellectual property of others.
